When visiting the school for any purpose parents must adhere to the school’s Islamic Dress Code
Students Dress Code
Students should be neatly and sensibly dressed. Appropriate dress is expected of all students and good grooming is equally important. All members of staff have been asked to check students for general neatness.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Cleanliness is half the faith (Emaan).” [Sahih Muslim]
All grade levels are expected to wear school uniforms.
Standard uniforms for boys (Grade Pre School to Grade 7)
- (Summer) School uniform shirt i.e.(White Polo Shirt with no markings) and pants i.e.(Khaki pants relax fitting) for boys.
- (Winter) School uniform sweater i.e. ((Dark Green Full Sleeves) or (Sleeveless) Sweater with long sleeves white polo shirt, and khaki pants for boys.
- Indoor shoes must be white-soled only. No outdoor shoes are permitted inside.
Standard uniforms for girls (Grade Pre School to Grade 7)
- (Summer) Pre-School to KG - School uniform i.e. (Dark green mesh shirt, white shalwar/legging).
- (Summer) G1 to G7 School uniform i.e. (Dark green mesh shirt, white shalwar, and a dark green sash along with, white or black hijab for girls.
- (Winter) School uniform i.e. (Dark Green Cardigan) with uniform for girls.
- Indoor shoes must be white-soled only. No outdoor shoes are permitted inside.
Wearing a school uniform is a requirement at Northern Hills Academy.
- Boys' hair should be cut clear off the collar. Dramatic hairstyles and/or hair colors are not permitted.
- Piercing and tattoos are not permitted.
- Shoes should be clean, tied, and polished at all times.
- Ball caps or fashion hats of any description cannot be worn in the school building at any time.
- Nail polish, jewelry, and make-up should not be worn by female students.
- Each item of clothing must be marked with the student’s name. It is wise to use a laundry pen or specifically manufactured iron-on labels. Do not use ink pens, as they will run and smear in the wash. The school will not be responsible for lost clothing
